The Filter and Forward page allows you to create different filter conditions using several filtering parameters.

To add a filter and forward condition, complete the following steps.

  1. The Filter and Forward page allows you to create different filter conditions using several filtering parameters.
  2. In the Filter and Forward page, click Add.
  3. In the Add Filter dialog box, perform the following actions.
    1. In the Forward to section, in the IP box, type the IP address of the machine hosting the Audit Record Manager where the log is to be forwarded.
    2. In the Port box, type the port number of the machine to which the log is to be sent.
    3. In the FHIR Server box, type the address of the FHIR server to which the log is to be forwarded.
    4. Optional. In the Protocol list, select a value from the listed options specifying the transfer protocol (REST, TCP, TLS, or UDP).
Note: If you select REST from the Protocol list, the IP and Port fields become unavailable. On selection of TCP and UDP, FHIR Server and Client certificate fields are unavailable. The FHIR Server field is also unavailable if you select TLS.
    5. In the Client Certificate box, enter the client certificate thumbprint value only if the log transfer protocol is TLS.
    6. Optional. In the Event Id Code list, select a value from the listed options.
    7. Optional. In the Event Type Code list, select a value from the listed options.
    8. Select the FHIR logs check box to forward RESTful audit logs.
Note: If you select the FHIR logs check box, the Pri, Host Name, App Name, Process Id and Message Id fields become unavailable as they are syslog parameters which are not available for a FHIR log sent via RESTful interface.
    9. Optional. In the Pri box, provide the priority value of the audit log.
    10. Optional. In the Host Name box, type the name of the host machine as mentioned in the audit log message.
    11. Optional. In the App Name box, type the name of the app.
    12. Optional. In the Process Id box, type the process Id number.
    13. Optional. In the Message Id box, type the message Id number.
    14. Optional. Select the Save local copy check box to save the audit records in the local database before forwarding.
    15. Optional. Select the Enabled check box to mark the filter as active.
    16. To save the condition, click Save.
Note: You can turn the Always save locally toggle switch on to override any filter's local save options and save the audit records in the local database before forwarding.
