You can segregate the data into multiple, logical time-stamp based databases. You can then link these databases to Audit Manager to locate and retrieve the archived audit records. There can be only one active database at a time. You can search for and view the data in an archived (not marked as active) database, from the Record Viewer page by selecting the appropriate Repository. All incoming data is logged in the currently active database. The Linked Databases page displays the details of all the databases that have been added and linked to the application. This page allows you to add, edit and delete a linked database. You can also mark a database as active while creating a linked database.

  1. In the left pane of the Record Viewer page, click Linked Databases.
  2. In the Linked Databases page, perform the following actions.
    • To add a linked database, refer to Add a linked database.

    • To edit a linked database, click Edit. In the Edit Linked Database dialog box, make the necessary changes and click SAVE.

      Note:

If a database has been marked as archived, you cannot change it to an active database.

    • To delete a linked database, click Delete and click OK in the confirmation box.

      Note:

You cannot delete an active database. You need to disable its active status before deleting it.

    • To obtain the latest settings, click Refresh.
