You can create a new migration plan to define the migration settings.

To add a new migration plan, complete the following steps.

  1. In the left pane of the Record Viewer page, click Migration.
  2. In the Migration page, click Add.
  3. In the Add migration configuration dialog box, perform the following actions.
    1. In the Source Server box, type the address of the server from where you want to migrate your data.
    2. In the Source database box, type the name of the database you want to migrate. This database name points to the database used by the last installed version of Acuo Audit Record Repository to store the incoming logs.
    3. In the Destination Server box, type the address of the server to which you want to migrate your data.
    4. In the Destination database box, type the name of the database to which you want to migrate your data.
Note: This database is going to be used by the newly installed Acuo Audit Manager to store the older logs. You can create this database first via database installer or the Linked Databases page before initiating the migration plan creation. Since Acuo Audit Manager works with legacy logs, it is recommended that the corresponding status of this database in the linked database is set to Archived.
    5. In the Running intervals (hours) slider, specify the frequency of the migration in hours. Minimum frequency is 1 hour and maximum frequency is 48 hours.
    6. In the Batch Size slider, specify the number of audit logs per batch. Minimum number of audit logs per batch is 1000 and maximum is 100,000.
    7. In the Status list, select Active to start the migration immediately or select Suspended to start the migration later.
    8. To migrate invalid logs, select the Migrate invalid logs check box.
    9. To delete logs after migration is complete, select the Delete logs on migration check box.
Note: For enhancing the migration performance from large source databases, it is recommended to keep the Delete logs on migration check box cleared. You can also delete the database from server, if not required post migration.
    10. Click SAVE.
Note: To edit an existing migration plan, click Edit. For more informarion on editing a migration plan, refer to Modify a migration plan.
Note: To delete an existing migration plan, click Delete and click OK in the confirmation box. You can delete a migration plan only when the migration is not active, that is the plan status is Completed or Suspended.
Note: To obtain the latest settings, click Refresh.
