• (Windows) At a command prompt, enter the following:

  set JAVA_OPTS=-Ddir.root=e:/alfresco/data

• (Linux) At a command prompt, enter the following:

  export JAVA\_OPTS=-Ddir.root=/srv/alfresco/data
