The steps for setting up batch header records, image control records, and document set control records are the same, only the available system defined control fields are different.
To configure output records:

From the Create New Capture File or Edit Capture Profile | Output - ASCII tab, select the document control type to add. Options include:

Batch Header Record
The Configure Batch Header window is displayed.

Image Control Record
The Configure Image Control window is displayed.

Document Set Control Record
The Configure Document Set Control window is displayed.

In the System Defined Control Fields section, click a field and then click Add Field.
For more information about the available system-defined control fields, see Batch Header System-Defined Control Fields, Image Control System-Defined Control Fields, and Document Set System-Defined Control Fields.
- To add a static literal to the output expression, type the text between angle brackets <like this>.
- If you are including a date field in the output expression, click Date Formatting to specify the output format for the date. See Configure Date Format Settings.
- To prompt the Scan or Import operator to enter information to include in the output, click Add Prompting Control. See Add a Prompting Control Field.
- Select the Insert delimiter character(s) check box to insert the delimiters entered in the before and after fields. These characters are placed before and after each field in the output record.

Enter a character in the Terminate Batch Header Record with field to specify the character that indicates the end of the physical record in the ASCII output. Options include:

\t to output a tab

\r or \n to output a carriage return

\f to output a form feed

- Click OK.
