The Import Options tab includes options for determining the method and location of importing documents into CAPTUREit.

Option

Description

Import Type

Options include:

  • None: Indicates that the Import phase is not available for this profile.

  • Specified: Imports files from the specified Import Path. Subdirectories one level down are imported.

  • Prompt: Prompt during the Import phase for the files that should be imported. The specified Import Path is set by default but can be modified on the Import File Prompt window when prompted for the files to be imported. For more information, see Import Phase.

Import Path

Enter the base path for the Import process or browse to the location. An environment variable may be entered as part of the Import Path.

Import Mask

Enter the file name mask for the files to import. The default *.* means all file names and extensions are imported. For example, to restrict importing to just .TIF files, enter *.TIF.

Convert Bitonal DPI To ___ (Applies to .tif and .pdf only)

To convert the imported images to a specific DPI, select the check box and enter the DPI value.

If the output destination is OCR for AnyDoc, this check box is selected by default and the form family's master DPI is used.

Create Document Set For Each Import Image

Select this check box to create a new Document Set for each image.

Delete Non-Image Files and Route To

If selected, any files in the Import directory with a file extension that matches the specified file mask type and determined not to be actual image files are deleted from the Import directory and moved to the specified location. A .txt file that contains the specific error message is also created in the specified directory.
