When outputting to a .PDF file, the compression and resolution options for the image, must be specified. The option to convert all color images to black and white is also available.

The available settings include:

Description

Bitonal Compression

The compression format that is applied to black and white images.

Color Compression Type

The compression type that is applied to color images. Options include:

  • JPEG

  • MRC - Produces a smaller PDF than JPEG.

Color Compression

The compression level that is applied to color images. Options include:

  • Minimum - Produces the best compression possible with minimal image quality.

  • Good - Produces the best image quality with a minimal amount of compression.

  • Lossless - Produces an acceptable amount of compression without reducing the image quality.

Max Bitonal DPI

The resolution that black and white images are converted to.

Max Color DPI

The resolution that color images are converted to.
