PDF Output Type
The image can be output with no text (Document Summary Only) or with searchable text (Document Summary with Full Page OCR Text). If the image is created with searchable text, a full page OCR is done and the text is included in the .pdf file.
PDF Output Version
PDFs can be created using Adobe Acrobat versions 1.5, 1.6, or 1.7 (ISO 32000).
A PDF/A can be created using Adobe Acrobat version 1.4. There are three levels of PDF/A files:
-
PDF/A (v1.4)
-
PDF/A-2b
-
PDF/A-2u
PDF/A-2b and PDF/A-2u are supported by AnyDoc. They ensure reliable reproduction of the document's appearance and create a tagged PDF, which includes the document structure. This ensures that the document content can be searched.
Create Accessible (Tagged) PDF
To create a tagged .pdf file, select this check box. A tagged .pdf file better accommodates different page and screen widths and also displays well on hand-held devices. This type of file is also more accessible by people with vision impairments.
Fast Web (Linearized) PDF
To create a PDF file that is Fast Web enabled, select this check box. Fast Web View allows each page of a PDF file to be downloaded from a web server individually, rather than waiting for the entire PDF file to be downloaded from a web server. This is most valuable with large documents that can take a long time to download from a server.
A .PDF document viewer with the Fast Web capability is required.
For Attachments, Skip Full Page OCR Text (Image Only)
When creating a searchable PDF the full page OCR can be skipped for images on attachment pages, select this check box.
