The front and back of scanned images can be converted into two, three or more individual images. This feature is helpful when processing large, folded forms that need to be split into smaller images to make registration and extraction more reliable.

From the Create New Capture Profile or Edit Capture Profile | Processing Options tab, click Split Images - Black/White Images only check box and click Configure.
The Configure Split Image Options window is displayed.
- In the Rotation of Split Images section , Select the Front and Back rotation to make the images on the front and back upright.
- In the After Rotation, Perform Splits section, specify whether splits should be performed Horizontally or Vertically after the rotation.

In the Split Image Options section, specify how the image should be split. Options include:

No Split
The image is not split.

__ Equal Sized Images
Enter a number to split the image into a number of equal sized pages. This number is per side for duplex images.

Split Every __
Enter a number of inches to split the image by inches.

Select the Resequence Split Images check box and enter the order for the split images in the fields provided. Standard folding schemes are as follows:
- To split an image if the width exceeds the specified number of inches, enter a number in the Only if Width Exceeds ___ (1/100 inches) (After Rotation of Original Image) field.
- To split an image if the height of the scanned image exceeds the specified number of inches, enter a number in the Only if Height Exceeds ___ (1/100 inches) (After Rotation of Original Image) field.

In the Splitting Images in Batches Not Scanned By AnyDoc section, specify how images that were scanned or imported not using an AnyDoc product will be split. Options include:

None (Split Process will be Skipped)

Images are Simplex

Images are Duplex

To not split the first image in the batch select the Skip First Image In Batch (Don't Attempt Split) check box.
This can be used, for example, if the first image in each batch is a cover sheet of some kind.
- To create a doc set from each split image, select the Create Doc Set from Split Images check box.
