Barcodes can be used to separate document sets and batches, similar to how patch pages are used. Multiple types of barcodes can be used. Barcode values can also be used to automatically set the batch control number.

To configure barcode options:

  1. From Create New Capture Profile or Edit Capture Profile | Separation, click Barcode Setup. The Configure Barcode Sheet Options window is displayed.
  2. Click Barcode1, select the Detect Barcode Post Scan check box.
  3. Set additional settings as needed. A summary of the selected options is displayed on the bottom of the window.
  4. To select the barcode symbology and configure other barcode parameters do one of the following:

    • Select Use Profile Settings and click Profile Barcode Setup.

    • Select Override Profile Settings and click Barcode 1 Setup.

      The Configure Barcode Parameters window is displayed.

    The Configure Barcode Parameters window is displayed.

  5. Set the parameters on the following tabs:
    Note:

    The Recognition Options tab is only available when accessing the Configure Barcode Parameters window from the Output | ASCII tab for the profile.

  6. Click OK.
  7. Click the additional Barcode tabs and set the available options, as necessary.
  8. Click OK.
