These settings control access to the Base path specified on the CAPTUREit Options | General tab; they do not control access to CAPTUREit.
Security settings can be set for the machine using CAPTUREit security or inherited from the system's active directory. User security can also be inherited from group memberships and permissions.
If Active Directory security settings are applied, then additional settings must also be configured, such as specifying the groups that are permitted to access the control path.

If this check box is selected, CAPTUREit Server provides each station with its security settings. The Security tab is not available in CAPTUREit and these settings override those already set in CAPTUREit. If this option is not selected, each station independently sets its own security settings. |
