If you are going to use CAPTUREit with OCR for AnyDoc, configure CAPTUREit Server before you configure the CAPTUREit workstation(s). For more information about configuring CAPTUREit Server, see Configure CAPTUREit Server.

CAPTUREit Server serves as the communication layer between remote CAPTUREit stations and the host site, such as the main OCR for AnyDoc installation or a remote capture directory. A connection with CAPTUREit Server must be established to upload scanned documents or retrieve a list of the available OCR for AnyDoc form families.

  1. Open CAPTUREit. The CAPTUREit Server Logon Information window is displayed.
  2. Click the Logon via User and Password tab.
  3. Enter a User Name.
  4. Enter a Password, if applicable.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • To show the CAPTUREit Server Logon Information window every time CAPTUREit is started on this workstation, click Show at Startup.

If this option is not selected, you are automatically logged on with the same information used during the last session.

    • To log on to CAPTUREit with your network user name, rather than entering a user name in this window, click Use Network Logon.

  6. Click the Server Options tab.
  7. In the CAPTUREit Server field, select the name or IP address of the server running CAPTUREit Server. If CAPTUREit Server is running on your local workstation, enter localhost.
  8. In the Port Number field, enter the same port number that is used by the CAPTUREit Server. See your systems administrator for the correct port number.
  9. Enter or select a Site Name, if applicable. The drop-down list contains a list of previously entered site names.
  10. Click Login.
