If CAPTUREit Server installed on a machine running Windows XP SP 2 or Windows Server 2003, changes to the Windows Firewall configuration are required.

The Windows Firewall must be running during the setup process.

  1. From the Control Panel window, double-click Windows Firewall.
  2. If the Windows Security Alert window appears, click Unblock.
  3. From the Windows Firewall window, verify the Exceptions tab includes AnyDocCaptureServer.exe.
  4. If the Exceptions tab does not include AnyDocCaptureServer.exe, do the following:

    • Click Add Program.

      1. The Add a Program window appears.

    • Click Browse to locate AnyDocCaptureServer.exe.

    • Click AnyDocCaptureServer.exe and click Open.

  5. From the Add a Program window, click AnyDocCaptureServer.exe and click OK.
  6. Click OK.
