Users can optionally be assigned a password. Users that have administrative permissions are required to enter a password when logging into CAPTUREit.

  1. From the Management menu, click Groups/User Management. The Group Security Settings window is displayed. Several of the action buttons at the right are unavailable until you select a user group.
  2. Select the user group to which you want to add a user and click Add User. The New User window is displayed.
  3. Enter a User Name.
  4. Enter a Password, if applicable, and enter the password again in the Confirm Password field.
  5. Click Permissions. The Permissions Settings window is displayed.
  6. Select the permissions for this user. For more information about the available permissions, see Permissions Settings.
  7. Click OK. The user is added to the Group Security Settings window.
  8. Click OK.
