Description

Resume Scanning

After the error has been cleared, click to start the scan process again.

Stop/Keep Batch

Click to end the Scan phase and close the batch. Any images in the exit tray following the last processed image are lost in the cache due to scanner error.

Stop/Delete Batch

Click to end the Scan phase and delete the current open batch. All image require rescanning

Whether or not you stop and delete your work in progress versus performing a reset and resuming depends on your comfort level and how many images have been scanned from the current batch. If few images have been scanned, starting from the beginning may be the best choice. If a large number of images have been scanned, resuming the Scan process is the best choice.

To resume scanning after an error:

  1. Clear the scanner.
  2. Power the scanner on/off, if necessary, to recover from the error.
  3. In the Scanner Error Detected window, examine the last successfully processed image to classify it, roping and expanding if necessary. The associated imprinter string appears at the bottom.
    CAUTION:

With caching, it is possible that documents passed through the scanner but were not processed. It is imperative to locate the last image processed in the exit tray and rescan any pages following that image in the exit tray. Place them back on top of the stack in the ADF.

  4. After the scanner error is cleared and the scanner is ready, click Resume Scanning.
