The Endorser options are only available for scanners that have this capability. The Endorser settings allow you to specify the length, format, and contents of the endorser values. Not all features are supported on all scanners.

Option

Description

Activate Mechanical Endorser

Select this check box to activate the endorser options.

Prompt Scan Operator

Select this check box to prompt the operator to set the endorser settings at scan time.

Suffix

Option

Description

Starting Number

Enter the starting number for the endorser suffix.

Batch Image Sequence

Select this check box to use the image number as the endorser suffix.

Increment

Enter the increment value for the endorser suffix. Whenever the counter is incremented, it increases by this value. This field does not apply when the Batch Image Sequence check box is selected.

Length

Enter a fixed length for the imprinted suffix number.

Reset Suffix Daily

To reset the starting number for the endorser each day, select this check box. This field does not apply when the Batch Image Sequence check box is enabled.

Suffix Seed Source

Click one of the following options:

  • Station

The workstation uses one suffix count across all capture profiles.

  • Profile

The workstation uses a separate suffix count for each capture profile.

  • Custom

The workstation uses one of the custom suffix seeds defined in the Endorser Suffix Seed tab. For more information, see Endorser Suffix Seed Options.

Prefix

To create a custom prefix for the beginning of the endorser or annotation counter value, in the section, select the system defined fields and click Add.

The system field is added to the field below the list. For more information, see System-Defined Fields for Endorser Prefix).

Print Properties

Font

Sets the size for the character print.

Orientation

This orientation is applied to each character in the imprinter string. The imprinter string runs down the vertical axis of the page.

Offset

Sets the number of inches from the top of the page to the beginning of the imprinter string. The top of the page includes a 1/2 inch margin.
