The Properties tab provides settings for orientation, resolution, etc. This tab does not appear if the TWAIN interface is selected.

Page Mode |
Select what is to be scanned. Options include: Simplex- Only one side of the page is scanned. Duplex- Both sides of the page are scanned. Prompt- The scan operator is prompted to specify whether to scan in simplex or duplex mode when starting the scan and when out of paper. |
Orientation |
Select the orientation of the paper to be scanned. Options include Portrait or Landscape. |
Image Type |
Select the type of image to create. |
Bitonal Resolution |
Select the resolution the pages will be scanned in. |
Front Rotation list |
Select the number of degrees to rotate the front side of the image to the right. If the images are going to OCR for AnyDoc and need to be rotated for recognition and Verification, it is more efficient to rotate them here in the capture profile. When images are rotated at this point, the image on disk is saved at the correct orientation; it does not have to be rotated in memory for Extraction and Verification. |
Color Resolution |
Select the resolution for the color images. This list is only available if Color/JPG/24BPP is selected from the Image Type list. |
Back Rotation |
Select the number of degrees to rotate the back side of the image to the right. |
Paper Source |
Select the paper source to scan from. |
Scan Ahead Cache |
Select the number of images that can be stored in memory before sending them for processing. |
