The Bell+Howell ACE 3.0 tab allows you to set advanced parameters for Bell+Howell Adaptive Contrast Enhancement (ACE) scanners. These parameters provide automatic image enhancement that can increase success rates for barcode recognition and OCR applications.

  1. On the Scanner Settings window (see Scanner Settings Overview), click the Bell+Howell ACE 3.0 tab.
  2. In the Mode/Function section, click the image type to process.
    A description of the selected image type appears in the ACE Setting Description field.
  3. In the Sensitivity section, click the sensitivity level to apply.
    A description of the selected sensitivity appears in the ACE Setting Description field.
  4. Click OK.
