Selected Source Info

Displays information about the selected source.

Configure Settings

If available, click to set TWAIN driver options. The TWAIN driver user interface for the selected source, which is supplied by the hardware manufacturer, appears. For more information, see your scanner documentation.

Test Source

To test the selected scanner capabilities, click this button.Test results appear in the Selected Source Info | Tested Level field. Results include:

• Advanced Production

The TWAIN source has advanced production capabilities. The driver settings can be configured and saved for each capture profile so the TWAIN driver user interface does not appear and you do not have to specify settings every time you scan.

• Consumer

The TWAIN source is a consumer product. The driver settings cannot be configured and saved. The TWAIN driver user interface appears every time you scan to allow you to specify settings.

View Test Log

Displays the results of previous tests.

Display Source User Interface Before Scan

To automatically display the TWAIN driver user interface each time you scan, click this check box, if available. If the TWAIN source does not support saved settings, this option is automatically selected and cannot be cleared.

Require Each Profile To Be Configured

Requires each profile to have the scanner settings configured prior to scan time. If this is required and the Scan settings are not configured, scanning will not start until the profile is configured according to the attached scanner's settings.

Inherit The System Config

Does not require each profile to configure the scanner settings. The System Configuration settings are applied if no scanner configuration is set.
