The AutoFlow function allows you to configure CAPTUREit to automatically poll for batches or images to process. This applies even to manned workstations.

AutoFlow configuration is set at the station level, so if a user logs on to a different workstation, the AutoFlow settings will be different.

To modify the AutoFlow settings, the user must have the AutoFlow Settings permission assigned. If this permission is not granted a report is displayed showing the current AutoFlow settings.

The actual AutoFlow process is initiated on the workstation with the AutoFlow button in the Workflow Manager window. To initiate AutoFlow, the Batch Processing Settings | AutoFlow Processing permission must be assigned.

For more information about assigning permissions, see Permissions Settings.

  1. From the Settings menu, click AutoFlow. The AutoFlow Settings window is displayed.
  2. In the AutoFlow Processes sections, select the phases to run automatically when AutoFlow runs.
The numbers on the left indicate the assigned priority that each phase is given during processing.
  3. To specify the AutoFlow Polling Frequency, enter a number in the Check for work every ___ second(s) field.
If the value is set too low, continuous polling of the network by many workstations can slow all stations.
  4. Select one of the following AutoFlow Priority Settings:
    • Phase Priority. If selected, the workstation processes batches according to the priority assigned to each phase. For more information about setting the phase priority, seePrioritize AutoFlow Processes.

    • Profile Priority. If selected, the station processes batches according to the priority assigned to each profile.

    • First-in/First-out. If selected, during the AutoFlow QA phase, AutoFlow processes the oldest QA batches first.

  5. To change the priority of the batch processing phases in AutoFlow, click Prioritize AutoFlow Processes. For more information, see Prioritize AutoFlow Processes.
  6. To change the priority of the batch processing profiles in AutoFlow, click Prioritize AutoFlow Profiles. For more information, see Prioritize AutoFlow Profiles.
  7. Click OK.
