If access to the base path is being granted based on the system's active directory, then it must be specified if all users should be granted access or only users in selected groups.

Note:

Granting access for a select Active Directory group gives that group full permissions in CAPTUREit by default, including Administrator Right permissions. To restrict an Active Directory group's permissions in CAPTUREit, you must manually configure the group's permissions at Management | Groups/User Management. For more information, see User and Group Management Overview.

  1. From the Settings menu, click CAPTUREit Options. The Configure AnyDoc CAPTUREit Options window is displayed.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Verify the Use Active Directory Groups for Security Settings option is selected.
  4. Click Group Access. The Group Access window is displayed.
  5. Select one of the following options, based on who should be granted access to the base path:

    • Allow Access to All Users. All users who are members of any group that is listed in the active directory can access the control path.

    • Restrict Access to Users in the following groups. Limits access to users in the groups selected from the displayed list.

  6. If Restrict Access to Users in the following groups is selected:

    • Click Add Group.

    • In the Select Groups window, enter the group name or click Advanced to search for a group.

    • Click Check Names to verify the group name is valid.

    • Click OK to close the Select Groups window.

  7. Click OK to close the Group Access window.
  8. Click OK to close the Configure AnyDoc CAPTUREit Options window.
  9. Close and relaunch CAPTUREit to apply settings.
