To capture data on a standard form, it requires that the information being captured is always in the same physical location. Using AnyApp, the same information is captured from each image, however the physical location can move from image to image. This is referred to as an unstructured form.
An AnyApp algorithm consists of parameters and rules to return the desired data. However, an AnyApp algorithm is not physically placed on a form. Instead, think of it as a set of parameters (algorithms) floating on an image looking for a specific piece of data. These fields are created on the workflow level and assigned to the AnyApp Tech Search Tool.
The AnyApp™ Tech Search Tool performs predefined keyword-based search operations preferably using the OCR data job object and selecting an algorithm for the available list.
The Text Data job object may also be used when processing algorithms, however, the location of ANSI data can only be approximated, and therefore some geographic based features, such as distance between keywords and datawords, may produce different results than would be produced if using OCR data, which contains co-ordinate information.
