Selecting a rectangular section for a Match Rule:

  1. Under Match Criteria 1 of 1, select Add. Match Criteria 2 of 2 is now displayed. By default, a Full Page Image match criteria is selected.
  2. To narrow the search for a Match Rule, left-click and rope the rectangular area to define the area of the image in which the Match Rule should appear.
    Note:

Due to the shifting nature of scanned images, if a Match Rule is partially discovered in the defined rectangular area, the tool extends the search slightly beyond the rectangular area to determine a match.

  3. When a rectangular section is added, a new Image Region Match Rule is added to the Match Rule Type drop-down list.

Match Rules

Description

Add, Edit, Remove, Reset

Use these buttons to add, edit, remove, and reset Match Rules.

The following types of voting are supported:

  • Standard: Takes the average score of all the defined Match Rules and if the score exceeds the qualifying match percent, the page or document set qualifies for a match.

  • Opposing: Provides the ability to screen out matches that are false positives.

Defining an Opposing Match Criteria is identical to the Standard type and has access to all Match Rule types. The difference is that if an Opposing Match Criteria qualifies, it will immediately reject the page or document set from that category.
