  1. Click the Configuration button next to Setup. The Configuration dialog box is displayed.
  2. Select one of the following options from the drop-down list:

    • Use Connection String

    • Use UDL File

  3. Depending on the option you selected in step 2, either select the Browse option in the Connection String field, or enter a UDL File location in the UDL File field. If you select the Browse option for the connection string, the Choose Connection String dialog box is displayed.
  4. On the Choose Connection String dialog box, select the Data Source from the drop-down list.
  5. Select a database provider from the OLE DB Provider drop-down list.
  6. Enter a server or file name in the Server or file name field.
  7. Enter the information required to log into the database.
    Note:

    Set up and login to a database varies depending on the type of database being configured.

  8. Click Test Connection to validate the database.
  9. After the database is selected and tested, click OK to close the Choose Connection String dialog box.
