This tool provides the user interface to validate the results of one or more Data Fields. The image displays to a verification operator who manually verifies the results of one or more data fields.

Job Objects (In)

Description

Display Image

Name of the image to be presented for verification.

Display Text

Name of the text job object to be presented for verification for non-image files such as Word Documents and Excel spreadsheets.

Options

Description

Custom Title

Sets a custom title displayed on the verification screen.

Exception Handling

Specifies if verification should always occur or only when a data field has violated a rule.

Image Location

Specifies where the image will be displayed on the verification screen.

OCR Language

Specifies which language should be used during Instant OCR.

Select Data Fields

Selects the data fields to be verified.

Instant OCR

Specifies whether instant OCR in the Verifier is available or not.

  1. Click Setup. The Select Data Fields window opens.
  2. Click Select to further define the data fields you wish to verify.
  3. Move the appropriate Available Data Fields from the left side of the dialog box to the Selected Data Fields list on the right side by selecting them and clicking the top arrow in the center.

    To remove data fields from the selected box, click the bottom arrow.

  4. Use the Select Font for Labels and Select Font for Data buttons to change the appearance of the labels and data fields.
  5. Choose the appropriate Display Properties.
    • Label Text

    • User Control

      Normal - No restrictions on the field.

      Read Only - Operator may see but not change the field.

      Double-Click to Edit - The field is Read Only but the operator may double-click in the field to change it from Read Only to normal.

    • Visibility Control

  6. Click OK.
    During the verification phase, the exception handler window is displayed. The system shows any rule violations highlighted.
  7. Once verification is complete, press Enter. This screen will be displayed for each image being processed.

Verification toolbar options are:

  • Save Changes and Close Verifier: Saves the changes for the batch and closes verify.

  • Cancel Changes and Suspend Batch: Cancels any changes made and suspends the batch.

  • First Job: Advances to first job.

  • Previous Job: Advances to previous job.

  • Next Job: Advances to the next job.

  • Last Job: Advances to the last job.

  • First Image: Advances to the first image.

  • Previous Image: Advances to the previous image.

  • Next Image: Advances to the next image.

  • Last Image: Advances to the last image.

  • Zoom In: Zooms in on the verification image in the viewer.

  • Zoom Out: Zooms out on the verification image in the viewer.

When the verification is complete, the verification operator is prompted to save changes and continue.

Note:

To see a data field that is not associated with a tool, set the Storage Level, under Document|Data Fields, to Page.
