To properly operate a workflow in production mode, it must be published to the Infiniworx system. Usually while designing and testing, a workflow will be kept on a local drive. To operate a workflow in production mode, all the stations on the network need access to it from a central location.

Every time the same workflow is published, it receives a new version number. Batches operating in the system are tied to the version of the workflow that was in effect when they were started. This insulates the currently operating production system from the simultaneous process of developing, testing, and updating workflows in the Infiniworx Workflow Editor.

Workflows can be published to the system even while batches are being run through production mode, with no adverse effects.

  1. From the File Menu, click Publish. A dialog box is displayed asking you to confirm that you want to publish the workflow.
  2. Click Yes to confirm the publication to the production system. Infiniworx reports back that the workflow has been published and indicates the version number assigned to the workflow.
