If you cannot detect the Kadmos 5 Engine on the engines list in Runtime Server or Designer applications, or if you get an error message when a project file loads, a discrepancy may exist between the edition version installed and the type of the license that is active. If so, an error message appears that describes the mismatch.

To verify and to synchronize the Kadmos 5 Edition version and license version, perform any of the following steps:

  • Verify the KadmosVersion.txt file for the edition version in the [drive:]\[installation directory]\Components\Cairo\Kadmos5 directory.
  • Verify that the LIC file shows the correct edition enabled. For the Server Edition the license file contains the entry Server = True.
    Note: The default directory is [drive:]\[installation directory]\Components\Cairo

  • Replace the license file in case you downgrade from the Server to Client edition.
