Users are maintained using the User Management table within Solution Configuration Manager. You can use this table to configure the following user attributes.
- The user permissions within Brainware for Transcripts.
- The user login authentications type.
- The client groups a user can access.
- The users that are subject to quality reviews.
- The Verifier user language preference for the dynamic Verifier form.
- The users that are permitted to update the ALM learnsets.
For the user logon authentication type, there are three choices.
- Brainware user
- Brainware user with Hyland IdS (Hyland Identity Service) authentication for web verifier only
- Windows user
When logging into Verifier, Brainware users log in with a username and password. You configure these users and their corresponding passwords within Solution Configuration Manager.
Brainware users using Hyland IdS authentication for web verifier also log in with a user name and password, but only the user name needs to be managed using Solution Configuration Manager. Hyland IdS is only available for Brainware Intelligent Capture version 23.1 and above.
Windows authentication users are logged in automatically within the Verifier. You configure these users and the relevant domain within Solution Configuration Manager. Windows authentication users cannot be used in conjunction with a Hyland IdS configured web verifier.
After you configure the user management table, you can configure a server job to automatically import the table into Brainware for Transcripts.
You can also point the system to import and read users from an external user table.
