To configure the Associative Search engine, complete the following steps.
- Switch to Definition Mode.
- In the left pane, on the Fields tab, select a field.

In the right pane, on the
Analysis tab, from the
Available Analysis Engines list, select
Associative Search Engine.
Note: Until the engine is configured correctly, a red circle and a corresponding error message displays on the General tab.

On the
General tab, from the
Used core engine list, select the required
engine.
- If you selected Brainware V2 or Brainware V3, Configure a Local Search Pool.
- If you selected Remote Matching Engine, Configure the Connection to a Remote Matching Service.

On the
General tab, the
Class name format is used for
Supervised Learning Workflow (SLW). If you do
not use SLW, enter the class name of any one column from the table above in
square brackets.

In the
Field contents format field, enter the text
you want to appear in the ASE field when extraction is successful.
Note: The text may contain multiple column names, as listed in the table above, but must include at least one. Each column name must be enclosed in square brackets and can be broken across multiple lines. Any text outside of square brackets is considered fixed text and is included whenever extraction is successful.[ID] [Name] [Street] [City], [State], [ZIP] Tel: [Phone]The format is correct if the entry box’s background color turns to white. If the entry box’s background color remains red, click the Check Format button and examine the error message at the top. If the engine is configured correctly, a green circle and a corresponding message displays on the General tab.
