To set up a table field and define column names for Brainware Table Extraction, complete the following steps.

You can create more than one table and configure the Brainware Table Extraction differently for each of them.
  1. Switch to Definition Mode.
  2. In the left pane, on the Classes tab, select a parent class.
  3. On the Fields tab, create a new table field.
  4. Right-click the table field and then click Show Properties.
  5. In the right pane, on the Analysis tab, from the Available Analysis Engines list, select Brainware Table Extraction.
  6. Complete the following substeps.
    1. On the Columns tab, click the Insert columns button.
    2. Enter a name for the column.
    3. Optional. If the column must not contain null values, select Column required.
    4. Optional. If entries are required for each cell of the column, select Invalid if empty.
    5. Optional. If the engine should not convert multiline text to a single line, select Multiline cells.
    6. Optional. If you do not want to display the column in Verifier, clear Visible.
      Note: The invisible columns must be valid to validate the entire table.
    7. Optional. Repeat the previous steps for all required columns.
    8. Optional. To delete a column, click the Delete columns button.
    9. Optional. To move a column up or down, click the arrow buttons .
  7. Optional. To use the Generic Table Extraction, on the Labels & Formats tab, insert a label.
    Note: The Generic Table Extraction becomes automatically activate as soon as you configure a column label. For more information, see Configure Generic Table Extraction.
  8. To insert a column format, complete the following substeps.
    1. On the Labels & Formats tab, click the Insert formats button.
    2. In the Formats column, enter the expression. For more information, see What are Regular Expressions?.
  9. From the Compare Type list, select a type.
    Note: For more information, see About the Format Analysis Engine.
  10. On the Advanced tab, in the Minimal number of words field, enter the number of words according to the demands of the project documents.
  11. Optional. Under Primary lines extraction, in the Minimal threshold field, modify the value, if for example the correct primary line was not extracted.
  12. Optional. Under Secondary lines extraction, in the Minimal threshold field, modify the value, if for example the correct secondary lines were not extracted.
