To define rules for string construction from words, complete the following steps.

1. Switch to Definition Mode.
2. In the left pane, on the Fields tab, select a field that uses the Format Analysis Engine.
3. In the right pane, on the Analysis tab, on the General tab, set the rules as needed. For information about each rule, see Rules for String Construction from Words.
