To specify the Train Mode settings to create a learnset for classification and extraction, complete the following steps.
- From the Options menu, select Settings.

In the
Settings dialog box, on the
Train Mode tab, select one or all of the
following options.
- To create a learnset or add documents to it, select the Add trained documents to the learnset check box. To use the Train Mode for demonstration purposes, clear the Add trained documents to the learnset check box.
- To classify only new document that are added to the learnset for data extraction, select Execute classification for new documents only. Use this option if your sample documents do not belong to the same classes. If you work with sorted input, clear the Execute classification for new documents only check box.
- To use previously extracted values from the document and pre-fill form fields with them during learning in Normal Train Mode, select the Review in normal train mode previously extracted values check box.

In the
Base Directory field, verify or change the
path to the directory where Designer stores the learnset documents.
Note: Each time you add a sample document to the learnset of a class, Designer copies the document to this directory.
- Optional. To create a backup before learning new documents, select the Always automatically create a learnset backup before applying learning check box.
