You can process scanned paper documents, faxes, emails, files, or documents from mixed sources.
Paper documents are typically forwarded as TIFF images to BIC as black-and-white images with a resolution of 300 DPI. Although BIC can optimize the OCR result, there is no way to regain information that was lost during scanning.
To process and extract text from CI documents, such as Word, Excel, and ASCII files, BIC’s built-in filters are available. Each file format requires individual testing. You may need to convert the documents to a supported format before you import them into BIC.
To process emails, you may need to save the messages to the file system first.
