The document separation feature needs its own learnset. To prepare a learnset for document separation, complete the following steps.
- Create a Project
- Switch to Definition Mode.
- In the left pane, on the Classes tab, right-click the project and then click Insert Base DocClass.
- In the Create New Base DocClass dialog box, enter a name for the class and then click OK.

In the left pane, on the Fields tab, insert the
following fields in the given order. For more information, see Fields in the Document Separation Learn Set.
- InvoiceNumber
- Date
- Page
- PageNumber
- SenderID
- Prepare a directory that contains about 50 fully extracted and validated, single-sided documents with workdocs.
- Launch Verifier.
- Open the first document.

Assign the fields using selection tool feature.
Note: If some fields are not present in the document, simply leave them empty.
- Repeat the previous step for all documents.
