- Recognition
- The classifier determines the range of valid characters. These characters display on the Characters tab and you can further restrict them there.
- Hand alphanumeric German, Europe, UK, US
- For German, European, UK or US hand-written material containing alphanumeric characters.
- CMC7, E13B, Farrington F7B Normfont
- For material written with CMC7, E13B (US checks), or F7B (ID cards) fonts.
- OCRA, OCRB
- For material written with dedicated OCR fonts.
- Hand + machine print, numeric
- For material containing handwritten or machine-printed numbers and currency symbols, but no other alphanumeric characters.
- Hand + machine print, Europe, US numeric
- For European or US documents.
- Machine, alphanum, German, UK, US
- For UK, US, and German machine-printed material containing alphanumeric characters.
- Confidence Level
- Use the slider to specify the threshold for accepting characters. BIC rejects characters recognized below the required confidence level. BIC validates characters recognized above the confidence level. A high confidence level rejects more characters, but there will be fewer errors in the accepted results. The confidence level also affects performance. Generally, it takes about 10 times longer to read with the lowest confidence level than with the highest.

- Select the type of optimization assigned to the ICR process. The Most Accurate option provides higher accuracy with lower speed.
