Apply a Validation Template to a Field - Designer - Foundation 23.1 - Foundation 23.1 - Brainware - external

You can apply a field validation template created in another class in your project to any field in any class within the same project. To assign an existing template to a field, complete the following steps.

1. Optional. To make it easier to visualize this task, load a document.
2. Switch to Definition Mode.
3. In the left pane, on the Fields tab, select a field.
4. In the right pane, on the Validation tab, from the Validation Type list, select a type.
5. From the Available Templates list, select a template and then click Copy.
6. If required, modify the settings.
   Note: The modifications apply only to the selected field and not to the template.
7. From the File menu, select Save.
