To rename a template, complete the following steps.

Note: You cannot rename a template that is in use.
  1. In the left pane, on the Classes tab, right-click the project and then click Show Validation Templates.
  2. In the right pane, on the Validation Templates tab, from the Field Type list, select a type.
  3. Under Available Validation Templates, select a template.
  4. Click Rename.
  5. In the Rename Template dialog box, enter a new name for the template and then click OK.
