To test the verification form layout, complete the following steps.

This procedure requires the "Allow firing of VerifierFormLoad event when in Verifier Test/Train Mode" setting activated. Do not enable this setting if the script dynamically modifies the form.

  1. Ensure that the Verifier Test Mode toolbar settings are in default state.
  2. Load the documents.
  3. Switch to Verifier Test Mode.
    Because the current document is classified, the extraction / indexing user interface displays.
  4. Optional. To test a single form if your document input is heterogeneous concerning the classes, on the toolbar, click the Force document to be validated with selected form button.
  5. Optional. To resolve special problems which only occur with some documents, ensure that the Move to next document on validate button is not pressed.
  6. Press the Tab key to activate the first field.
    • Indicates the currently selected field.
    • Indicates a smart index field that can be filled by a database lookup. This icon is only visible when a smart index field is selected.
    • Indicates a smart index field that can be used to start a lookup. This icon is visible no matter whether a smart index field is selected or not.
  7. Check the following.
    • The field has the required size.
    • Multiline fields are available where required.
    • The associated viewer shows the appropriate document area.
    • The relevant information in the viewer is readable.
  8. Optional. To modify the field content, complete any of the following substeps.
    • To inserts a new line into a multi-line field, press Ctrl + Enter.
    • To delete all character until the end of the line, press Ctrl + Del.
    • To delete the entire field content, press Ctrl + Backspace.
    • To validate the current rejected character or field and move to the next invalid character or field, press Enter. Depending on your current settings, this may involve a document change. Validation may also trigger smart indexing.
  9. To move to the next field, press Tab and then repeat the previous steps.
  10. When you checked the last field, press Enter to validate the document.
    After the document is validated, the next document displays.
  11. Repeat the previous steps for several documents to ensure that you cover all relevant cases.
  12. Review the form layout in Verifier and Web Verifier.
