To delete a data source from the system, complete the following steps.

  1. On the navigation pane, expand Data Sources.
  2. Right-click the name of the data source you want to delete, and select Delete.
  3. In the Delete Data Source dialog box, click Yes.
    If you attempt to delete a data source that is currently used by a search index or to configure reporting, an error message appears.
