This section describes the procedure to uninstall SCM from your system.
  • Take a backup of the installation folder and the files contained within C:\inetpub\wwwroot\SCMWeb. This folder is deleted during the uninstallation process.

  • The Database, SCMPackets, BIC Database, Solution Databases, and SSL configuration settings are not deleted automatically or affected during uninstallation. However, if you want to remove these settings, you need to take a backup of these folders too before manually removing them.

  • Before starting the uninstallation process you need to log out from the existing SCM application if you are already logged in.

  • Close all browsers and open directories (related to SCM).

  • Close all the files, settings and configuration files related to SCM.

  • Close IIS Manager if it is open or in use.

To uninstall SCM, complete the following steps.

  1. Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, select Brainware Solution Configuration Manager and click Uninstall. A warning message is displayed.
  2. Click Uninstall. A confirmation message is displayed.
  3. Click Finish. SCM is uninstalled.

If you get an error message and SCM is not uninstalled, you need to check the log files. The log files are located in Users Local\Temp directory. You can also enter %temp% in the Windows Run command and press enter to open this folder.
