To replace the Content Composer certificates, complete the
following tasks:
- On all servers and workstations, close all running Content Composer applications.
- On each Content Composer server, stop the Composer.Core service. This stops all other Content Composer services on this computer.
- Remove the root certificate. See Removing the Root Certificate for more information.
- Create new certificates. See Creating the Certificates for more information.
- Install the new certificates. See Installing the Certificates for more information.
- Customize the server configuration. See Customizing the Server Configuration for more information.
- Customize the Studio configuration. See Customizing the Studio Configuration for more information.
- Customize the Windows Client configuration. See Customizing the Client Configuration for more information.
- Check the functionality. See Checking the Functionality for more information.

If no issues have occured, on each computer with a Content
Composer Server, Studio, or Windows Client installation, delete the
certificates
- composer.server and
- composer.service
from the certificate stores
- Local Computer - Personal - Certificates and
- Local Computer - Trusted People - Certificates
- Restart each instance of Content Composer Studio and Windows Client.
