The user attributes StartSystemOId and StartFolder provide the possibility to define a start system and a start folder for a user or a group of users.

However, start parameters have priority over the parameters specified in user attributes.

Consider the following information when specifying start parameters and user attributes:

  • If the start parameters specify a start system, the Client opens the specified system.
  • If no start parameter but the user attribute StartSystemOId is set, the Client opens the system specified in the user attribute.
  • If neither options are defined, the Client opens the last system used.
  • If the start parameter navipath is set, the following checks perform:
    1. If the user has the Client Change Folder(27) right, the specified folder is selected in the Navigator.

If the folder does not exist, the system root folder is selected in the Navigator.

    2. If the user does not have the Client Change Folder(27) right, the system root folder becomes the default folder for the user.

If the specified folder does not exist in the system, a warning displays and the Navigator is flushed.

Users can change to another system if they have the Client Change System(6) right.

However, this is only possible if a folder with the same name exists in the target system.

  • If the start parameter navipath is not set, the following checks perform:
    1. If the user attribute StartFolder is set and the user has the Client Change Folder(27) right, no further action is taken.

    2. If the user does not have the Client Change Folder(27) right, the system root folder becomes the default folder for the user.

If the specified folder does not exist in the system, a warning displays and the Navigator is flushed.

Users can change to another system if they have the Client Change System(6) right.

However, this is only possible if a folder of the same name exists in the target system.
