The user attributes StudioStartSystemOId and StudioStartFolder provide the possibility to define a start system and a start folder for a user or a group of users.

However, start parameters have priority over the parameters specified in user attributes.

Consider the following information when specifying start parameters and user attributes:

  • If the start parameter startsystem is set, Content Composer Studio opens the specified system.
  • If no startsystem parameter but the user attribute StudioStartSystemOId is set, Content Composer Studio opens the system specified in the user attribute.
  • If neither options are defined, Content Composer Studio opens the last system used.
  • If the start parameter navipath is set, the following checks perform:
    • If the user has the Change Folder (7) right, the Navigator selects the specified folder.

If the folder does not exist, the Navigator selects the system root folder.

If the user does not have the Change Folder (7) right, the system root folder becomes the default folder for the user.

If the specified folder does not exist in the system, a warning displays and the Navigator is flushed. Users can change to another system if they have the Change System(5) right. However, this is only possible if a folder with the same name exists in the target system.

  • If the start parameter navipath is not set, the following checks perform:
    • If the user attribute StudioStartFolder is set and the user has the Change Folder (7) right, no further action is taken.

    • If the user does not have the Change Folder (7) right, the system root folder becomes the default folder for the user.

If the specified folder does not exist in the system, a warning displays and the Navigator is flushed.

Users can change to another system if they have the Change System(5) right.

However, this is only possible if a folder of the same name exists in the target system.
