This configuration option uses the Windows user store to authenticate and authorize users.

Use this option if no LDAP server is available.

To configure Windows authentication using a workgroup or a domain controller, complete the following steps.

  1. Enable Windows authentication. See Enable Windows authentication for more information.
  2. From the %Composerdir% directory, open UserRepository.config with a text editor that supports UTF-8.
  3. Set the profileReadOption attribute value to None.
  4. Save and close the file.
No profile attributes are available for users and roles. The configured attributes are only available with the configured default values. The system determines the user to roles assignment from Windows.
