Process variables can be extracted from the Microsoft Email connector and used within the process.

The following elements can be extracted from the email messages: messageId, to, from, cc, subject, contentType, date, internetMessageHeaders. They can all be set to become process variables and populated among the process to be reused at its further steps.

  1. Create process variables, see Creating and Editing Process Variables.
  2. In the trigger created for the Microsoft Email connector, find the Payload section and the variables field. Click the Edit button.
The Edit variable mapping window appears.
  3. Proceed to the Value tab to see the process variables.
  4. In the Event output/Value menu, select the appropriate property from the Cloud Event section.
Note: If you want to set up the GET_MAIL action, you need the messageId variable assigned to the messageId Cloud Event.
