The Schemas section allows you to create a schema, which is a set of property definitions. For example, you can create a schema including property definitions such as title, description, creation date, modification date, author, and subject.
You cannot create a property definition without associating it to a schema.
Schemas allow you to define your data in a structured way and enable the reuse of property definitions on one or more document types. When creating a new document type, you associate it with one or more deployed schemas. You can also extend existing document types by associating them with new schemas.
Within a Hyland Experience process, schemas are used by content when generating documents or creating content within the repository. The properties contained within schemas are available for editing and updating throughout the life cycle of the process.
You can learn more about schemas by following the schemas tutorial. For more information, see Creating and Configuring Schemas.
