SAPERION gets the documents from the IXOS service by means of the federation connector. You configure the federation connector in the MMC, as follows:
  1. Start the MMC.
  2. In the console root, go to INFRASTRUCTURE > FEDERATION SERVER > PLUG-Ins.
  3. Bring up the dialog to create a plug-in by right-clicking “New…” in the context menu. The “Plug-In Parameter” dialog box appears.
  4. Enter the following parameters:
    • Name: Ixos
    • Type: JStore
    • Module: com.saperion.federation.ConnectorIxos
  5. Click [OK] to generate the plug-in.
  6. Now the plug-in must be connected with the table containing the entries. To do this, switch to INFRASTRUCTURE > FEDERATION SERVER > TABLES.
  7. Start up the table parameters dialog box by right-clicking “New…” in the context menu. The „Federation Server: Table Parameters“ dialog box opens.
  8. Enter the following parameters:
    • Name: Ixos_v1
    • Plug-in: Ixos
  9. Click [OK].

    Goal: the Java core server must be able to access the MMC in order to drive the appropriate federation connector.
