To ensure system robustness, Hyland recommends having a minimum of two (2) databases in operation; one for the production environment and one for the development environment. While not required, we also recommend using a third database for archiving purposes.
The databases need to meet the following minimum requirements:
- A CPU with 2 Cores
- 8 GB RAM
- 100 GB HDD (database)
- 100 GB HDD (backup database and network drive)
In order for all components to effectively communicate with each other, they must share the same connection string. The connection string contains all of the information required to connect to the server. An example of a connection string can be found below:
