In the Variable Management pane, you can create, rename, and delete arguments, as well as add annotations to arguments.
  • To access the Variable Management - Argument dialog box:
    1. On the ribbon, click .
      The Variable Management dialog box is displayed.
    2. Click the Arguments tab.
  • To add an argument:
    1. In the upper right corner, click Add.
    2. In the Name column, enter a name for the argument.
    3. From the Direction list, select the required direction.
    4. From the Type list, select the required type.
    5. Optional. In the Default Value column, enter a default value or a VB Expression.
  • To rename an argument:
    1. Select the argument and then click .
      The Rename Argument dialog box is displayed.
    2. Enter a new name for the argument.
    3. To rename the argument in all activities where the argument is used, leave Rename in all Activities selected.
    4. To define the renamed activities and scopes, clear Rename in all Activities and select the activities where you want to rename the argument.
    5. Click Okay
  • To delete an argument, select the argument and click .
