In the Arguments pane, you can create, rename, and delete variables. You can also add annotations to arguments.
  • To create an argument:
    1. In the Arguments pane, click Create Argument.
    2. In the Name column, enter a name for the variable.
    3. From the Direction list, select the required direction.
    4. From the Argument type list, select the required type.
    5. Optional. In the Default column, enter a default value or a VB Expression.
  • To rename an argument:
    1. Right-click the argument and select Rename argument.
      The Rename Argument dialog box is displayed.
    2. Enter a new name for the argument.
    3. To rename the argument in all activities where the argument is used, leave Rename in all Activities selected.
    4. Click Okay.
  • To delete a variable, right-click the variable and select Delete.
  • To add an annotation:
    1. Right-click the argument and select Add Annotation.
      The Add Annotation dialog box is displayed.
    2. Enter the annotation and then click OK.
  • To edit an annotation:
    1. Right-click the argument and select Edit Annotation.
      The Edit Annotation dialog box is displayed.
    2. Modify the annotation and then click OK.
  • To delete an annotation, right-click the argument and then click Delete Annotation.
